After making her debut in Chennai 600028, charming actress Vijayalakshmi has made a name for herself in the glam-world.
She was interested in acting because her father (director Agathiyan) was in the industry. However, the charming youth didn’t enter filmdom through him.

I was hosting a breakfast show ‘Hello Thamizha’ on Vijay Television. I knew Venkat Prabhu well; he used to come home to meet my father. When he asked me whether I was interested in doing a role in his movie Chennai -28, I agreed. Working in the film was a good experience as nearly all the persons involved in it were sons of big wigs in the industry. Each one wanted to give their best and come up in life. I too wanted to do so and it worked wonders for me.
